These are challenging times. You are not alone. This post about suicide prevention is a must-read. I wrote it and collaborated with an amazing team as part of my current job with the CDC Foundation. Although it is for the State of Alaska (as part of our year-long Healthy You in 2022multifaceted campaign), it is timely and valuable info that may be useful to you or a loved one right now no matter where you live. Note that an easy-to-remember suicide prevention hotline, 988, launches nationwide July 1 but may already be active where you live.

These feelings are hitting all of us, even those of us who are positive by nature.

WHAT I CAN TELL YOU FOR SURE IS THAT BIKES HELP. IN FACT, THEY SAVED MY LIFE. AND I CONTINUE TO BELIEVE THEY CAN SAVE THE WORLD.

If the Atlanta Beltline had not been where it was exactly when it was (2013), I don’t know where I’d be right now. Or if. My motto, Trust the Journey (then and now), gets me…
